DETAILED ITINERARY:
DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival at the airport meet with our representative at airport arrival lounge and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 02 : FULL DAY IN DELHI
Today we take a guided tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Built in the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest & best known mosque in India. Later we walk down or take a rickshaw ride through Chandi Chowk, the old marketplace of Shah Jahanabad now a picturesque bazaar to reach Red Fort, built in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan.
In New Delhi, we visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India.
We will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. Qutub Minar & its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 03 : DELHI - JAIPUR (259kms/ 6hrs drive)
Morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 04 : FULL DAY IN JAIPUR
Morning after breakfast an excursion tour of Amber Fort, at a short distance of 11 kms from Jaipur, the Amber Fort complex stands amidst wooded hills overlooking the Delhi-Jaipur highway, with its forbidding ramparts reflected in the still waters of the Maota Lake below.
One of the finest examples of Rajput architecture, it was the ancient capital of the Kachhawah rulers. The original palace was built by Raja Man Singh and additions were made later by Sawai Jai Singh.)
In the afternoon we will take a guided tour of Jaipur city, visiting City Palace, Jantar Mantar (natural observatory), Hawa Mahal ( Palace of winds) etc. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 05 : JAIPUR – AGRA (250 kms / 5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Agra, en-route visit Fateh Pur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri : Fatehpur Sikri, 38 km from Agra, was one of the capital cities of Akbar after the childless Mughal was blessed with a son with the blessings of the Sufi saint, Sheikh Salim Chisti, who lived here. The new capital came up in 1569. Through the Juxtaposition of the buildings seems whimsical, they are thoughtfully planned, imparting an atmosphere of playful brilliance. Towering, walls on three sides surround the rectangular-shaped city, accessible through nine gates, and an artificial lake is located on the west. Credit for preserving the monuments goes to Lord Curzon. These protected monuments and the city’s environs are well maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.

DAY 06 : AGRA - DELHI
Today we visit Taj Mahal, symbol of eternal love, which stands on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal emperor, Shah Jehan in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was completed in 22 years. Further we visit Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations.
We will also visit Sikandara, Akbar's tomb. His son Jahangir completed the construction of the tomb in the year 1613. Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, built by Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628. It belongs to the father of Nur Jahan, Ghiyas-ud-Din Beg. He was the Wajir (Chief Minister of Emperor Jehangir). This white marble tomb was the first complete marble Mughal structure.
Later in the evening transfer drive to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 07 : DELHI – COCHIN, by flight
Transfer to the airport to board the flight for Cochin. On arrival at Cochin airport meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon cochin city sightseeing tour visit including Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, the Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 08 : COCHIN - MUNNAR, 130 km
Morning after breakfast drive to Munnar, enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. On arrival at Munnar check in at the hotel. In the evening you can go for sight seeing of Munnar and witness tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lust green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the covered by Tata tea. Overnight at hotel.
Munnar hills is situated at an altitude of 5000 to 8000 Ft above sea level. and is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani & Kundala. This beautiful hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling Tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town.
Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi , which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking. The high ranges of Munnar were earlier known as Kannan Devan Hills, named after a certain Kannan Devan, who had been land lord in the Anchanad Valley on the eastern side of the district. The main cultivation crops in Munnar are Tea and Coffee .
DAY 09 : MUNNAR
Morning after breakfast sightseeing tour of Munnar visit including, the Raja Malai, a top peak of Munnar where you can see Neel Thar (mountain goats), Muttupetty dam, Indo Swiss project. In the afternoon enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at hotel.
DAY 10 : MUNNAR – ALLEPPEY - HOUSEBOAT
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. On arrival transfer to the houseboat. Overnight stay at house boat.
DAY 11 : ARRIVE KUMARAKOM - COCHIN
Morning after breakfast check out from the house boat and drive to Cochin via Kumarakom, the paradise of sun, sea, sand and surf. On arrival at Cochin check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 12 : COCHIN - DEPARTURE
Transfer to the Cochin international airport to board the flight for onward destination.
