How to Reach
Bandhavgarh is a small National Park and Tiger Reserve in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh which can be reached from Kanha by road or by train from Delhi, Bhopal or Mumbai via the near by towns of Umaria and Katni. Utkal Kalinga Express (8478UP) leaves Hazarat Nizamuddin at 12-50 PM and reaches Umaria next morning at 06:20 AM. It can also be reached via cultural tourist destinations of Agra, Khajuraho and Varanasi by rail and road.
Khajuraho airport is only 260 km from Bandhavgarh, we suggest people to travel by train to avoid that tiresome car journey. Taxi from Umaria and Katni can be arranged in advance.
